ReplyS355J0 steel plate/sheet is in EN 10025 standard, the material number is 1.0553. The equivalent grades of S355J0 steel are DIN 17100 St 52 3 U, NFA 35 501 E 36 3, UNI 7070 Fe 510 C, BS 4360 50 C, ASTM A 441, UNE 36.080 AE 355 C.
ReplyYield Strength. The yield strength of structural steel measures the minimum force required to create a permanent deformation in the steel. The naming convention used in European Standard EN10025 refers to the Minimum Yield strength of the steel grade tested at 16mm thick.
ReplyS355 structural steel plate is a high strength low alloy European standard structural steel covering four of the six "Parts" within the EN 10025 – 2004 standard. With minimum yield of 50,000 KSI, it meets requirements in chemistry and physical properties similar to ASTM A572 / 709. Careful attention should always be placed on the specific
ReplyStructural steel plate S355J0 is carbon_manganese steels with a guaranteed minimum yield strength and tensile strength, and . satisfactory ductility.Without any special rolling or heat treatment for S355J0 steel, The abbreviated designation of this . delivery condition shall be AR (As rolled).
ReplyAug 23, 2015 · S355 Yield Strength S355 is named based on it's minimum yield strength of 355 Mpa (N/mm2), However the yield strength reduces when you go up in thickness above 16 mm for flat products & hollow sections Here is the table showing reduction in yield strength based on thickness Up to 16 mm 355 Mpa 16 mm < t ≤ 40 mm 345 Mpa
ReplyThe symbol S mainly stands for structural steel, 355 is minimum yield strength and grade S355J0 can easily withstand impact energy of 27J at 0 degree Celsius. These steel plates have high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, weldability, dimensional accuracy, durability, machinability, and long service life.
ReplyYield strength 225 N/mm² • Sections’ base grade S355J0+M with Inspection certificate 3.1 meets the technical and economical requirements of the European structural steel fabricators. THANK YOU! Using S355J0+M as base grade for sections will increase the competitiveness of steel !

ReplyThe number in a structural steel’s name is its yield strength. It indicates the maximum load, in MPa, that does not end in plastic deformation. Stress above that value will deform the metal permanently. In S235 steel’s case, this value is 235 MPa.

ReplyFor all products to be compliant with the EU Construction Products Directive (CPD 89/106/EC) the material must offer a guaranteed minimum impact performance. This has resulted in the removal of this grade from the standard, and the lowest grade now offered is the JR version for each yield strength
